Physical Contaminants

We provide contaminant detection equipment to locate metal, glass, stone and other dense foreign objects in packaged food to ensure your products are safe for consumption and to protect your brand.

Detecting physical contaminants in food, such as metal, glass, stone, plastic and bone, is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. These contaminants may be as small as 1 mm in diameter. We provide high performance metal detection and X-ray technology to scan packaged food products and to detect the smallest physical contaminants.

Our metal detectors incorporate an innovative, patented multi-coil design which creates a consistent magnetic flux field, producing maximum sensitivity. Higher sensitivity results in an optimum level of detecting metal contaminants.

Our state-of-the-art image analysis software in our X-ray contaminant detection systems optimize sensitivity so food producers can find virtually any metallic and non-metallic substance that is denser or sharper than the host object.

While accurate and reliable detection of physical contaminants are critical, ease of use is also important. All of our contaminant detection systems are easy to setup and operate, and can be fit into your existing production line.
