Mycotoxins
Mycotoxins are a group of toxic metabolites produced naturally by certain species of fungi (molds) and have been identified recently by the World Health Organization as significant sources of food-borne illnesses.
The most precise and sensitive technique for analysis of mycotoxin is performed using a Thermo Scientific Accela liquid chromatograph coupled to a Thermo Scientific TSQ Quantum Series triple quadrupole mass spectrometer providing detection results at the 0.1ppb range. This type of LC-MS/MS is the most widely used technique for the detection of mycotoxin in food, providing round-the-clock productivity and fast and accurate results.
For fast screening, the Thermo Scientific EZ-Tox DON and Thermo Scientific EZ-Quant Mycotoxin test kits deliver point-of-inspection results that are fast, accurate and easy to use.
Thermo Scientific Multiskan EX and Thermo Scientific Multiskan Ascent microplate photometers can be used for inexpensive detection of mycotoxins.
