Aging Analysis
Long-term stability is one of the major and most complex quality characteristics for polymeric materials.
Thermal Stability
The broad temperature range accessible with the Thermo Scientific* HAAKE* MARS rheometer allows for the correlation of the time-dependent viscoelastic properties of your materials under real life conditions. Structural changes such as increasing brittleness will be reflected directly in the viscoelastic moduli.
Spectroscopy
Changes in a polymer due to aging via time or exposure (UV, heat) can be followed in both chemical and morphological changes. FT-IR and Raman Spectroscopy are excellent probes, especially when coupled with the Thermo Scientific* OMNIC* Series kinetics (timed event) software. Rapid (msec) and slow (days) changes can be followed automatically.
