Correct Sample Loading and Trimming
Apart from the rheological test itself, the accuracy and reproducibility of its results depend strongly on the pre-treatment and handling of the sample. Loading the sample into the measuring geometry of a rheometer is one of the most important handling steps since the sample properties and the test setup can both be affected. This video shows and explains the basics of correctly loading liquid, gel-like or paste-like samples into a cone/plate- or plate/plate-geometry.
