Save Time, Money with Scientific Instrument Short Courses
- Feb 19, 2011
Reduce your training costs and receive world-class training by attending a Thermo Scientific short course. We will offer a slew of one-day courses, workshops and customized training courses throughout the year, including:
- Proteome Discoverer Software Workshop – 1 Day ($199)
Proteome Discoverer users will learn how data obtained from all fragmentation techniques on Thermo Scientific mass spectrometers can be combined and interrogated across multiple search engines to maximize identification and data confidence. The workshop will be focused on instruction and hands-on time with the software.
Course Date: March 8 – San Jose, CA
- Metworks Software Workshop – 1 Day ($199)
Metworks users will learn how to identify expected and unexpected metabolites in data sets and how to assign structures to the components in metabolism related applications. The workshop will be focused on instruction and hands-on time with the software.
Course Date: March 9 – San Jose, CA
- FT-IR Lab Solutions Workshop - 3 Days ($950)
The course is presented in a lecture/workshop format that provides an opportunity to work with software via supplied computers, allowing you to try different sampling accessories on an instrument using common sample types. The final day will be a FT-IR Spectral Intepretation course that will teach you the secrets of identifying key components of spectra and then narrowing the possibilities of molecular structure, giving you confidence when comparing to spectral libraries.
April 12-14 – Austin, TX
May 17-19 – Schaumburg, IL
Aug. 16-18 – Billerica, MA
Nov. 8-10 – San Jose, CA
- Overcoming Interferences in ICP – 1 Day ($199)
Students will learn how to effectively manage interferences commonly encountered in ICP analysis utilizing a Thermo Scientific iCAP 6000 Series system with iTEVA software. Specifically, interferences such as spectral, physical, and ionization will be analyzed.
