Audible Count Rate Drawer with Timer-Scaler

Thermo Scientific* Audible Count Rate Drawer permits monitoring of changes in neutron count rate audibly without having to read a meter.
Designed to fit into existing 19 in. racks, the Audible Count Rate Drawer features selectable input from up to four source range channels and sounds a tone at regular intervals. Plant personnel can monitor changes in the neutron count rate in the containment building, the control room, or other remote locations, without having to read a meter.
 
 
 
 
 
The Audible Count Rate Drawer is an aid to operator safety. A tone sounds at regular intervals proportional to rate of incoming pulse train.

  • Timer-Scaler provides audible sound corresponding to source range start-up output along with details of that count rate; provides verification of the shutdown count rate selectable to any source range channel
  • Front panel switch allows selection of audio from any source range channel (up to four)
  • Signals can be divided by 1, 10, 100 or 10000 to hear individual tones at any shutdown count rate
  • Volume control for internal speaker, with separate control for external speaker
  • Non-Class 1E but qualified not to damage adjacent Class 1E equipment during a seismic event
