Bistable Trip Module

The Thermo Scientific* Bistable Trip Module is designed to respond to multiple input signals.
Is designed to respond to either single or multiple analog DC input signals. This module is designed for front-loading into an existing Reactor Protection System rack assembly.
 
 
 
 
 
The module electronics are contained in a Printed Circuit Card mounted on rails within a NIM module.

  • Direct plug-in form-fit function replacement for existing Electro-Mechanics Bistable Trip Unit Modules
  • Identical to existing modules from a human factor stand-point
  • Overall system accuracy, drift and input stability are improved through the use of higher quality modern components and improved state-of-the-art circuit design technique
  • Power consumption reduced by 50% significantly reduces the heat load in the RPS, which improves the reliability of the power supply drawer and other components
  • Designed to respond to either single or multiple analog DC input signals. If multiple inputs are used, the signals are auctioneered. This signal is compared to TRIP and PRETRIP setpoint voltages
