The Thermo Scientific Matrix Piercing Pipetting Head and Manifold for the Thermo Scientific Matrix PlateMate 2x3 enables liquid handling applications that require high throughput sample extraction from sealed storage tubes. Using positive displacement technology, transfer volumes between 0.3 and 50µL from sealed 0.5mL to 1.4mL storage tubes directly to the assay plate, eliminating intermediate
dilution pipetting steps when preparing plates.

- When used in conjunction with an automated tube sorter, assemble an entire picklist of tubes in a complete rack for 96-channel access, eliminating manual handling
- Universal manifold design — manifold accommodates a variety of 96-well format sealed storage tubes, including all Thermo Scientific Matrix and Abgene Storage Tubes
- Add up to four manifolds on a Matrix PlateMate 2x3 for condensing four storage tube racks to one 384-well microplate, or position the manifold on any of four deck positions to accommodate other accessory options
- The manifold's robotic-friendly design allows it to be integrated with the Matrix PlateMate 2x3 or other hands-free liquid handling robotic systems
- Manifold is compatible with the Thermo Scientific Catalyst Express robotic arm, which is also easily integrated with the Matrix PlateMate 2x3 via ControlMate or the POLARA software interface
