For use with Thermo Scientific* Matrix PlateMate 2x3 and Matrix PlateMate Plus automated pipetting systems. 96- or 384-channel heads are available in both air-displacement and positive displacement models. Pipetting heads can be swapped out in under a minute with no tools, enabling the quick switch of volume ranges and number of channels, or even to change either Matrix PlateMate system from air-displacement to positive displacement pipetter, and vice versa.
Air-Displacement Heads- For applications requiring the use of disposable pipet tips, these utilize Matrix D.A.R.T.s (Disposable Automation Research Tips) tips
- Cover volume ranges of 0.5-30 or 5.0-300µL in 96 configuration, and 0.5-30 or 1.0-100µL in 384 configuration
- Ideal for applications requiring disposable tips, serial dilutions or high aspiration volumes
Positive Displacement Heads
- Available in either 96 or 384 syringe configurations
- Volume range of 0.1-50µL (with stainless steel needles) or 1.0-50µL (with DuraFlex needles)
- Ideal for pipetting down to 0.1µL, resin/bead mixtures, liquids with high vapor pressure or caustic reagents
- Piercing model allows 96 fomat sample storage tube piercing procedures
