DAB Plus Substrate Staining System

Thermo Scientific* DAB Plus Substrate Staining System is ideal for automated stainers.
DAB Plus Chromogen contains Diaminobenzidine (DAB) in buffer. DAB is a suspected carcinogen. Do not pipet by mouth. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Reagent is acidic and can cause burns if skin contact occurs. Handle with care and dispose of according to regulations. DAB Plus Substrate contains Hydrogen Peroxide in buffer. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Contains 3,3' Diaminobenzidine (DAB), a widely used chromogen for immunohistochemical staining and immunoblotting. In the presence of peroxidase enzyme, DAB produces a brown precipitate that is insoluble in alcohol.

  • Supplied in a two-component form consisting of a DAB Plus Chromogen and DAB Plus Substrate
  • Standard working dilution is 20µL of DAB Plus Chromogen per 1mL of DAB Plus Substrate, although the ratio can be adjusted as desired
  • Use of liquid components reduces the risk of dust inhalation
  • Prepare only what is needed, eliminating the waste associated with reagents in tablet form
