HyClone* Smartainer II Systems: 3-D Bags and Containers, 100 to 2000L

Thermo Scientific* HyClone 100 to 2000L Smartainer II systems use 3-D BioProcess Containers (BPCs) that are provided sterile for handling fluids in bioproduction applications and a Smartainer II container that may be purchased with or without a jacket for temperature control.
HyClone Smartainer II systems are designed for in-house handling applications in critical areas. The Smartainer II is a modular system with the optional accessories for mobility and BPC handling. The 3-D BPCs are designed to fit into the Smartainer II with top and bottom lines.

Smartainer II System Key Features:

    Hydraulic Coupler

    • Only available for Jacketed Smartainers II containers
    • All jacketed Smartainer IIs are supplied with a 3/4in. male NPT threads on the jacket inlet and outlet. Quick connects with check valves can be purchased separately, these allow for rapid and mess-free connection between the jacket and the facility piping.
    • Available styles: Female 3/4in. NPT; Male 3/4in. NPT; and Male 3/4in BSP (for use in Europe)

    Tie Rod with Safety Pin

    • Only available for Jacketed Smartainer II containers
    • Requires two rods per Jacketed Smartainer II container

    • Sterile media and buffer storage and transport within facility
    • Feeding sterile media into bioreactors and buffers into purification systems
    • Feeding and receiving liquid from separation and purification systems
    • Sterile bulk reservoir for filling systems
