In addition to a well-balanced, ergonomic design, these pipetters feature step-based programming that allows you to perform pipetting routines that would be cumbersome or even impossible with manual pipetters. What once took many thumb motions and manual volume adjustments can now be accomplished with the light touch of a button. Available in 8-, 12-, or 16-channel models for performing everything from microvolume pipetting in a PCR plate to filling microplates.
Features
- Step-based programming makes it logical, intuitive and easy to create programs; enables pipetter to perform all tasks you might do with a manual pipetteronly faster and with less effortas well as functions such as serial dilutions across a microplate
- On-board memory saves six programs (up to 40 steps each), allowing you to spend more time pipetting, less time programming
- Large volume capacity of 1250µL per tip allows you to fill an entire microplate with up to 100µL per well from a single aspiration
- Advanced Lithium-ion battery technology allows days of work between charges, no memory effect
- Stepper motor technology and error correction software ensure accurate and precise pipetting, even when performing incremental dispensing or when operating at top or bottom of a pipetter's volume range
- Five variable speeds are available for each step of procedure (aspirate, dispense, or mix); provides flexibility to perform either rapid dispense, or slow controlled dispense
Design
- Lightweight, ergonomic design increases comfort and reduced risk of repetitive stress injuries
- Trigger-based operation and tip ejection eliminates use of thumb; reduces strain when ejecting tips
- Unique design keeps your hand close to the pipetting surface; tip ejector utilizes two or three fingers, not the thumb
- Designed in conjunction with Matrix pipet tips for superior fit with minimal application and ejection forces
- Pipetter can be used while plugged in, resulting in no downtime during recharging
Step-Based Programming
- Easy-to-use feature allows you to automate anything you would do with a manual multichannel pipetter
- Example: you could aspirate 1200µL, and then dispense 50µL to the first two rows, then 100µL to the next ten while setting specific dispense speeds for each
- Or, aspirate 20µL and then 200µL of diluent, then repeat per each row of a plate for an in-plate serial dilution
- All functions can be linked together (up to 40 steps) and saved for future use; up to six programs can be stored in memory
