Thermo Scientific* Nalgene Filter Membranes are ideal for use in particulate and microbial analysis.

Select cellulose nitrate for water quality work, cellulose acetate for cold sterilization, nylon membrane for solvent filtration or glass-fiber prefilters for sample clean up.

Must be wet when autoclaved

Excellent chemical resistance to alcohol and oil
Excellent for cold sterilization of proteinaceous solutions
Able to be used in short-term contact with methyl ethyl ketone
Suited for liquid scintillation studies
Can be cleared for direct observation using paraffin or almond oil
Non-sterile, autoclavable (membrane must be wet when autoclaved)

Celluose Nitrate (CN)

Superior recovery of microorganisms
Sterility testing, food and beverage testing
0.45µm membrane meets requirements of Standard Methods for water quality work
Non-sterile, autoclavable

Nylon (NYL)

Extremely low levels of extractables—no wetting agent
Aqueous and organic solvent filtrations
Sterilize buffers and culture media
Use with HPLC solvents
