The fixed end-point assay is based on fluorescent staining of cells grown on standard high-density microplates. Specific fluorescent probes effectively measure differences between treated and nontreated plates of cells with respect to the cell viability parameters. The procedure is optimized for use with the Thermo Scientific ArrayScan* Reader and Cell Viability BioApplication software to provide automated plate handling, focusing, cell image acquisition, and analysis of cell viability.
Features:
- Quantifies drug candidate toxicity with state-of-the-art precision and speed on the ArrayScan High Content Reader
- Cost-effective, streamlined kit format simplifies protocols and sample/reagent preparation
- Assays can be performed alone or in combination with other High Content assays for multifaceted drug screening
- DeadDye* and VitalDye* fluorescent probes offer sensitivity, quantitative and qualitative screening results without radioactivity
Required Accessories: Fluorescence microscope, Thermo Scientific Cellomics ArrayScan VTI or other HCS reader
For a more detailed description of the image processing algorithm, see the Cell Viability Application Guide that accompanies the software.
