Thermo Scientific* TPDRO 1100 is a time-saving, high precision instrument designed for the characterization of heterogeneous supported catalysts and reactive solids. TPDRO performs automatically and simultaneously the sample preparation (activation) on a reactor while analyzing another sample in a second reactor, thus saving valuable lab time.
The TPDRO 1100 performs automatically in parallel on two reactors or sequentially on a single one, the catalyst preparation (like oxidation, reduction, saturation with a probe gas, degassing, etc.) and surface reactivity characterization (temperature programmed desorption, reduction and oxidation, chemisorption by pulses of gases and vapors). Thanks to its double and independent pneumatic circuits, TPDRO shortens the total process saving valuable lab time. TPDRO is particularly suitable in industrial catalysis research labs where a high sample throughput is required without compromising accuracy. TPDRO 1100 provides easily and rapidly information like catalyst metal dispersion, metal surface area, metal aggregate size, activation energy, single point BET, acid and basic sites surface concentration.
