Pharma 16 TSG Twin Screw Granulator

The Thermo Scientific* Pharma 16 TSG twin screw continuous granulator is ideal for small-scale continuous granulation, in research, development or production in the pharmaceutical industry.
Small-scale continuous twin screw granulation allows rapid process development with minimal use of expensive ingredients for defining critical process parameters. It allows for consistent, controllable processing and on-demand production with reduced cleanroom space requirements and ATEX risk. It is suitable for Process Analytical Technology (PAT) and facilitates reliable cleaning. Scale-up risk is minimized.

Environmental Note: Small scale continuous processing has lower utilities use than traditional batch processes. A small footprint reduced clean room volumes, and lower ingredient consumption reduces handling and operator exposure.

Self contained units can be operated with recirculating chillers for reduced water consumption.


Required Accessories: We offer a full range of GMP standard ancillaries which are matched to the extruder performance, and can be integrated into the extruder control system. These include. preblenders, volumetric or gravimetric dosing feeders and liquid injection pumps.

Compatible with: Application of PAT using Thermo Scientific instruments like FT NIR can give assurance of product quality, by measuring composition and moisture content.
