Lutetium Test Adapters

Thermo Scientific Lutetium Test Adapters are a smart alternative to conventional check sources and offer a lot of unique advantages to customers using radiation detectors.
Innovative series of test adapters based on high-purity natural Lutetium-Oxide provides users with the ability to “challenge” the functionality of their radiation detectors. Using a chemically pure bulk substance containing the radioisotope in its natural abundance results in a totally constant and homogeneous surface emission rate; unlike other test sources, the Lu Test Adapter possesses activity that is well-defined and reproducible.
Under US DOT or IATA rules for dangerous goods shipments, these adapters are not considered as radioactive material due to their natural origin and low specific activity.
