Harshaw TLD* 90Sr Internal Irradiators

Thermo Scientific Harshaw TLD 90Sr Internal Irradiator may be calibrated by the user to a NIST-calibrated source and used to calibrate TLD Reader and Dosimeters.
Irradiator strength is approximately 0.5mCi , producing a nominal exposure rate of approximately 10mR/s.

Harshaw 6600 and 8800 model TLD readers can be fitted with an optional 90Sr Internal Irradiator.

  • All irradiations are performed under the control of the Reader's firmware; the associated REMS software and PC are not required for this operation
  • Firmware automatically compensates for normal source decay, eliminating the need for frequent calibrations
  • Irradiations may be defined by exposure or time
  • Appromixmate strength: 0.5mCi
  • Nominal exposure rate: 10mR/s
