Sera-Mag* Magnetic SpeedBeads* Protein A/G Particles

Thermo Scientific* Sera-Mag Magnetic SpeedBeads Protein A/G Particles can be used for isolating antibodies from serum, cell culture supernatant or ascites, and for immunoprecipitation and co-immunoprecipitation of antigens from cell or tissue extracts.
These nominal 1µm magnetic particles of uniform size feature two layers of magnetite, resulting in faster magnetic response times, while the surface is modified with a proprietary method that minimizes non-specific binding of proteins. Protein A/G is then covalenty bound to the particle surface. The presence of Protein A/G enables use with the broadest range of antibody species and subclasses, which is ideal for antibody purification immunoprecipitations, and co-immunoprecipitation applications.

Manual and automated magnetic isolation of IgA and IgG proteins is accomplished in a single isolation instead of running two separate isolations.

Sera-Mag SpeedBeads Protein A/G Magnetic Particles have a surface blocked and covalenty coupled to a recombinant Protein A/G. By taking advantage of the affinity provided by both proteins, these particles are a flexible alternative to either Protein A or Protein G alone, can purify IgG from rabbit and mouse serum with higher yield and purity than Protein A and Protein G particles from other suppliers, effectively immunoprecipitate a variety of protein targets from cell lysates, effectively co-immunioprecipitate protein bound to IP target protein, and work effectively in conjugation with automated and magnetic particle processors such as Thermo Scientific KingFisher* Flex.
